"Onoare muncii grele"

 

From the first meeting of its players 100 years ago, the Club faced many changes: its name, status, financial support, ambition and performance, competitions, the world of football itself. The Club reached a new level without skipping any step along its way. From amateur to professional football, from city championships to European Champions League, the Club faced also the most important change of all: people. Still preserving the honest mentality of the first railroad workers that founded the team, the Club strongly believes that nothing can be achieved without hard work and dedication. "Honor the hard work” has been the unwritten statement at the beginning of the last century and it still represents the core of nowadays values. All the current development in the Club’s performance kept unaltered the faith in the railroad workers’ principle.

 

The Club’s values build both on the tradition of a century and on the vision of a professional management, ready for the next mission: the conquest of an European title.
Fulfilling that mission might be ambitious, but it is also a process that involves not only financial investments and performance, but also commitment and determination. The Club takes the responsibility to engage actively in the life of the community in order to promote fair-play sport, to bring back the joy on the stadium.
"Think sport, live football!" is the new Club’s motto. It represents CFR 1907 Cluj’s efforts in promoting the value of football, both for clubs and the supporters.
The fact that we are the oldest football club in Romania and we have contributed to the history of this sport here makes us – especially now, in the current context in which the primary meaning of football is distorted by hooliganism and violence – deliver equal efforts both to performance but also to defend our firm belief that football was, is and must remain a sport, the most beautiful one.
