Edi Stăncioiu: "We want to win in Timişoara!"
Tweetcfr1907.ro: You have been designated one of the best CFR 1907 Cluj players in the fixture against Bordeaux. How did the match look like from the goal?
Edi Stăncioiu: “The match was mostly dominated by Bordeaux, although they didn’t have many chances to score. Our team played defence well and we did our duty out there. Unfortunately there was a small mistake and because of that, with bad luck, we lost a point that I think we deserved.”
cfr1907.ro: What happened at the goal?
Edi Stăncioiu: “It was a cross from the left, that I could have saved without any problems, but Cadu entered the box without me seeing him, thought he had an opponent behind him and tried to remove the ball. He didn’t manage to get to it properly and deflected it into the net. Bad luck, that’s it!”
cfr1907.ro: That was the first defeat with Maurizio Trombetta on the bench. Does that affect your morale?
Edi Stăncioiu: “I don’t think it will affect us because we have a difficult period coming up and we have to focus 100%. We are a team and that can’t affect us.”
cfr1907.ro: The next match is against Timişoara. What chances does CFR 1907 have in this fixture?
Edi Stăncioiu: “We only think about winning, as in every match. We must play very well, we must run, we must concentrate and we will see the result at the end. We want to win!”
