Little People Association helps children and adolescents with cancer!

Little People Association helps children and adolescents with cancer from Monday to Sunday in the 5 main departments of pediatric oncology in Romania: Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Bucharest and Iasi, providing support to over 85% of all children currently undergoing treatment in Romania. Psychology students and graduates from five universities in Romania are trained and monitored to conduct an intervention program designed by the Little People Association specifically for hospitalized children.

In 2006 Little People founded the Romanian club for adolescents Temerarii, teenagers who have beaten cancer, this is now the largest community of young cancer survivors in Central and Eastern Europe.

We launched the Contra Cancer campaign in order to raise money to help assist our programs. The campaign started on October 2nd with the "Race Against Cancer - 700kms in 7 days" and aims to raise funds to support programs developed by the Association of Little People, aimed at improving the survival chances of children and young people fighting cancer. Two runners who are both students from Cluj Iulian Novac and Marian Sorohan are running 700 kilometers in seven days combined.

We invite you to support the campaign against cancer by sending an SMS to number 858, which will donate 2 euros towards the Little People. You can view the blog at www.contracancer.org

Thank you for your support! Every post counts!
