Match Report: Another disappointing result

Expectations were high before the game, the players promised to play better than their last 2 games and that they will have determination on the pitch. The game started out slowly, none of the teams took any chances.
The first scoring chance happened in the 7th minute, when Tony gained a free kick very close to the goal. Sousa’s chance followed, who nailed the ball inches from the post. Iasi’s first big chance came in the 25th minute when Cadu commited a foul 20 meters from goal. The referee forgave him and Cadu didin’t receive a card. The free kick was defended by Stancioiu with ease. A few minutes later Onuţ tried a lob from the middle of the field when he saw Stancioiu out of his place. In the last few minutes of the game Yssouf Kone tried to score a few times but he was unsuccessful.
In the second half, CFR 1907 Cluj tried to force victory but couldn’t break the defence of the team from Moldova. In the 56th minute, Semedo passed the ball to Kone, who shot from 10 meters but Iasi’s goalkeeper, Plesca managed a great save. The final moments of the game cought CFR players attacking but they couldn’t score.
